Geisenheimer Prüfsiegel

The "Geisenheimer Prüfsiegel" is a certificate of the Institute of Research Geisenheim (branch wine-cellers) with regulations for the examination as well as for the correct utilization of corks according to the Geisenheim test methods.

All quality controls for the incoming and outgoing goods in cork treating and bottling companies are based on the tests stipulated in the Geisenheim catalogue. A maximum security during the cork production as well as the following utilization in wineries is achieved by these controls.

This certificate documents the complete execution of all quality controls according to the regulations and under the supervision of the Institute of Research . Until now only two other cork treating companies in Germany besides GUELTIG are permitted to have this certificate.
